Roberto Blake is a famous graphic designer located in New York City. He has completed lots of wonderful work for many companies including the TV station WE. Mind Blowing Monday Presents... Rob Janoff!!

Rob Janoff may sound like any other person in the world but really he has created one of the most famous logos in our history, the Apple logo. This logo has taken several different forms over the years but has essentially remained the same. Rob Janoff created this logo in 1977. You can see how he really thinks outside of the box and took the old concept of Apple and brought it to a new light!

Mind Blowing Monday Presents... GIAMBATTISTA BODONI

If your a graphic designer then you most definitely have heard of Giambattista Bodoni (1740-1813). Bodoni was a famous Italian engraver, publisher, printer, and of course typographer with great knowledge! Now I know this name sounds quite unfamiliar at first but forget the first name and focus on the last name. BODONI. Does this ring a bell? It should! Bodoni is a very famous and popular typeface still used today. I wanted to focus on Giambattista Bodoni because he was in around in the beginning of type. Bodoni's expertise allowed him to develop a very unique typeface that does not seem to have much detail but it most certainly does. If you get a chance check out other Bodoni typefaces here.

OMG found a super sweet typography website!!!

Ok so I was googling typography and one of the first hits to come up was this super cool website called Typography Served which provides various typography projects from various creative professionals. As I was searching on the website I noticed they have a different areas including toy ideas, branding, fashion, web design and many more! This is definitely a really cool website that even posts JOBS... yes I said JOBS! It's really sweet and I think EVERYONE should definitely check it out!

Digital Painting is probably the coolest thing ever....

Digital painting is easily one of the coolest things to create on Photoshop. If you take some time (and that means at least 5 hours) you can create some very realistic looking images. It's amazing that you can create such a realistic painting on the computer. I have posted a link to a tutorial explaining how to achieve this awesome-ness!!

Today I would like to bring up the topic of typefaces! I have found some cool websites that you all might have heard of ... but one that I just found out about is Lost Type Co-op which is a really cool website that offers FREE typefaces. Also if you join their mailing list they will email you when new typefaces come out! To get the fonts for free look for the download button. You can either donate to the creator of the typeface or you can just simply enter "0" for a FREE font! I thought it was pretty neat and you all should check it out.
